two minutes to midnight in the garden of delight
It's been long enough and you've always been on the inside-- was Xorn always actually meant to be Magneto or was he changed as a final bitter act by Morrison against Jemas like Sean Howe implied in his book? Thanks!

Yes, Xorn was always Magneto, right from the start.

Despite it being an utter crime against storytelling I got a kick out of Chris Claremont/Magneto explaining the whole Xorn thing with “Uh, that was somebody else pretending to be somebody else pretending to be me but now he’s dead so shut up Charles.”

I’m very glad that Jason Aaron/Rick Remender/Joss Whedon et al were able to grab Grant Morrison’s balls and run with them as nobody else at Marvel really seemed to ‘get it’ in regards to Morrison’s run until a few years after.
